With any luck the nightmare is over. After many trials and tribulations, we believe we have the bent propeller shaft times three fixed. The yard installed a new shaft. The sea trial failed. Stettler was hauled and the shaft straightened. Another splash down, an aborted trip to Puerto Vallarta with Trevor and Carmen on board as crew, a return to the marina, another haul-out, and this time a new shaft. That's two new shafts and one straightening.
We hope it works for the trip south, which is planned for the first weather window we can find.
